The coil is wound on a moulded plastic ring and mounted on a tubular plated metal handle through which pass the 1 m long flexible leads. Wound with insulated copper wire, the coil has a resistance of 1.8 ohms approx. The mean dia 34mm and the number of turns 100 are clearly marked on the coil former.
